Royo Fruits S.L. was founded by the Royo family in 2012 with a very clear philosophy: to market our own citrus production. The location in South Catalonia and border to Valencian Country makes the perfect climate for the citrus production due to the combination of Mediterranean with our mountains. The company invests in staff training to reach the highest food standards, as well as internal traceability system and developing Corporate Social Responsibility politicies. For this reason we count on ISO 9001 certification and GLOBALGAP, which ensure quality and safety to the final consumer.

From the beginning, the total production was 100% exported to European Union, being U.K. Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France and Luxembourg the main countries where the brand ROYO FRUITS is well recognised and one of the most popular in these markets. In 2014 we decided it was time to also be recognised in our country and this is the reason why we joined km 0 denomination of BON PREU - ESCLAT Supermarkets to show that in our lands we prepare one of the best citrus in the world.

LA FAMILIA ROYO

In the early twentieth century grandfather Manolo Royo started producing citrus in Alcanar, taking advantage of the changes in our lands, passing from non irrigated lands to irrigated lands. First farm of Royo's family were planted, and the grandfather entrusted in Orange Navelate variety, originate from Alcanar and which nowadays preserve the original trees that he planted. Although these were hard times to pull ahead the agricultural business, with effort and hard work he continued expanding the production.

Years would pass and the second generation was incorporated to production , Manolo and Alfonso. Both introduced new changes in cropping systems and also invested in more lands. In the nineties was when a qualitative and quantitative leap was made in terms of diversification in both varieties of Oranges and Tangerines. Today there is a wide range of varieties , and this makes possible to offer fruit from September to June .

In 2012 it's the third generation who takes a step into the family business and founded the company Royo Fruits in order to market and defend your own fruit , a fact that implies to close the circle of production and especially to defend the product that we care for many years .
